The Municipality of Silistra has officially begun construction on a state-of-the-art Municipal Industrial Park. Strategically located between Haralambi Dzhambdzhiev St. and Tutrakan St. on the site of the former Siloma plant, the project is designed to become a key economic hub in the Danubian region.

Spanning 378,000 square meters (37.8 hectares), the project follows an ambitious Smart Industrial Park concept. Under the vision of Mayor Aleksandar Sabanov, the zone will integrate production and logistics areas with a complete social and business infrastructure – including an administrative center, retail spaces, modern offices, a healthcare point, a kindergarten, a sports complex, and dedicated dining facilities. This human-centric model creates an all-in-one environment for living, working, and sustainable growth. Strategic Connectivity and Turnkey Infrastructure.

The Silistra Industrial Park offers seamless, multimodal transport connectivity with direct access to road, rail, and Danube river routes, alongside high-speed telecommunications and robust energy infrastructure. This enables international and local companies to establish operations rapidly and access the European Union Single Market with minimized initial capital expenditure. The park is actively seeking strategic investors in high-value-added sectors such as mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical components, clean technologies, and logistics. The Municipality of Silistra is currently in active discussions with several foreign and Bulgarian enterprises preparing to capitalize on the region’s emerging potential. Competitive Human Capital and Economic Advantages.

The region offers a strong advantage for expanding businesses: an available, skilled, and adaptable workforce alongside highly competitive operational and labor costs. Additionally, foreign businesses benefit from Bulgaria’s favorable business climate, including a flat 10% corporate tax rate – one of the lowest in the European Union – and municipal support mechanisms for key investors.

Positioned on the banks of the Danube River, Silistra is turning its geographic location from a border point into a dynamic commercial corridor, seamlessly connecting Southeast, Central, and Western Europe.
