Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has warned that rising anti-immigrant sentiments and hysteria within the country are causing significant harm to Poland’s social fabric and international reputation. Speaking at a recent forum, Sikorski emphasized that fear-driven rhetoric undermines Poland’s economic prospects and damages its standing as a tolerant and open society.
He argued that immigrants contribute positively to Poland’s labor market and demographic challenges, helping to support economic growth and cultural diversity. Sikorski called for responsible political discourse and urged leaders to reject xenophobia in favor of inclusive policies.
The minister’s comments come amid growing public debate over immigration, as Poland grapples with balancing national identity and the realities of globalization. Sikorski stressed that fostering understanding and integration is essential to Poland’s long-term stability and prosperity.
